About me
French national living in Luxembourg, I am a freelance translator specializing in German to French translation.
Originally a chemist specializing in quality assurance and LEAN/Six Sigma, I worked in France in the cosmetics and automotive industries. My move to Germany in 2009 marked a turning point in my career and led me to consider a career change.
Passionate about languages and intercultural exchange, translation quickly became the obvious choice. I then undertook distance learning with the Akad-Academy in Stuttgart and obtained the German state certification as a translator in Karlsruhe in 2021.
For the past four years, I have also been working for the Court of Justice of the European Union, which has allowed me to develop my expertise and specialize in the field of European law.

My job
Translation is a demanding task that goes far beyond a simple correspondence between words. It requires a precise understanding of the author's message, their intention, and its nuances, in order to faithfully render them in the target language. From technical information to more subtle emotions, the goal is to convey a natural message tailored to the end reader. This exacting standard is what makes a professional translator so valuable.
This passion for languages also led me to offer editing and proofreading services. Indeed, mastering a language is not always enough to produce perfectly natural-sounding text. In Luxembourg, in particular, where French is widely spoken, individuals and professionals regularly call upon a proofreader to ensure clear, fluent, and professional texts.
Alongside my translation work, I also offer French and German lessons as well as academic support. I work with students and adults, providing personalized courses tailored to their level and goals, to facilitate learning and build confidence in language use.
